Just wanted to write in a short note here. I logged on to Apple.com and I was surprised to see an entire home page dedicated to one employee, Jerome B. York, who passed away today (Mar 18, 2010).


I have never seen a website do it and quite possibly its the first time any major website has done this before.

Apple has way of things, and they do it so well, the rest just benchmark and follow.

I know that their website layout & design is one of the most imitated design for many e-Commerce websites. There is a reason for that. The user-friendliness, the hip look, the clean layout and most of all – the organized structuring of products so visitors do not spend much time finding a product.

Product is not always the most important thing on the website. Apple doesn’t have to tell it to us, they’ll just show us how.
A heart-warming gesture from an incredible company. Without any doubt, this gesture has made me even more of an Apple fan.
